Behind the Book

The book’s part of a quartet written with Liz Fielding, Scarlet Wilson and Jessica Gilmore – and it’s dedicated to them because we had so much fun thinking up the stories and the setting. (I did pinch a few bits from Capri – I loved the idea of being able to cook your lunch *in* the beach!)

It’s about Imogen (Immi) Marlowe, who helps run the family firm, Marlowe Aviation. At her twin sister’s wedding, she starts getting cold feet about her own upcoming wedding – and then at the last minute she discovers the worst about her fiancé and calls it off. Immi runs away to the Isola dei Fiori, where her youngest sister has inherited a house from her godmother and where the four sisters enjoyed many happy summers, to work out what she wants to do with the rest of her life. Except then she meets Matt Stark, her neighbour. Matt is also at a crossroads; between them, can he and Immi discover the right direction, together?

I particularly like the US cover for this one as it really captures the vintage dress Immi wears for Andie’s wedding.
