Meet Mr. July…

When meticulous rule-follower Emily Foster meets adrenaline junkie Lyle Tate, the last thing she wants to do is get involved with him–especially as her twin sister has fallen in love with his older brother.

But under his charming, reckless, sexy exterior, Tate’s the kind of man who rescues people. Can Emily break her rules enough to learn that she can trust Tate with her heart? And will Tate let Emily close enough to learn his deepest, darkest secrets and let her prove to him that he’s worthy of love?

Behind the Book

This is the second book in the Men of Marietta series, though it does work as a standalone. (However, if you read the first book – Heidi Rice’s Tempting the Deputy – you’ll enjoy it a lot more. My hero is her hero’s brother, and my heroine is her heroine’s sister, and we worked very closely on the books.)

It’s set in Marietta, Montana, where the big-hearted townsfolk are raising money to set up Harry’s House – and this time it’s a calendar of scantily clad (or, in my hero’s case, naked) first responders.

My hero is a part-time fireman, a part-time rancher, and a part-time guitarist. (If you like Keith Urban’s music, you’ll love the songs in this one. Except I wrote them.)

Oh, and there’s a rescue dog. One which bears a resemblance to a certain cute spaniel…

You’ll enjoy this if you like firefighters, dogs, and music. And a bit of angst (the back story is quite dark).
